Aerospace Technology Centre l (ZLR l)

The opening of “Aerospace Technology Centre Schönefelder Kreuz I” (ZLR I) in Wildau, in 2003, has made the Berlin-Brandenburg area an aeronautics location of national import. The development of the centre began while the company AneCom AeroTest GmbH was seeking a new business location. This resulted in the emergence of an infrastructure for gas turbine compressor development and testing, which in turn has attracted more specialist companies to the site. As the centre has also been the venue of many industry-related meetings and events, it has evolved into a regional focal point for the entire industry. Collaboration opportunities with the aeronautics degree courses offered by the Technical University of Applied Sciences [FH] in Wildau have spawned even more teamwork between industry and science.

The Aerospace Technology Centre I is a modern complex of buildings with a total floor space of 7,700 sq m. The inspiring architecture, designed by the firm “Gewers, Kühn & Kühn“, has turned this complex into a prestigious business location in the capital region of Berlin-Brandenburg.
